The story behind the work.

Producing this print making work was both a harrowing and heart opening experience. It is narrative in style and explores aspects of the human condition, regardless of where we are placed on the map. It draws on community, movement, flow, connection, humour, light heartedness, understanding and the resilience and hope that is drawn on during our darkest times. The left of the image acknowledges nature and agriculture. The middle section the buzz of everyday activity and community. The right not only acknowledges hardship, but the ways in which we may find solace and the beauty within each of us as we look out for each other. Photographs used for solvent transfer (i.e. skyline) were taken by Anna Weston on Operation Smile International missions in Ethiopoia and Mozambique.
